Meteorite Testing Kit

The test kit detects Nickel which 99.9% of all Meteorites contain.
The amount of Nickel present in Meteorites is 100 times more abundant
then any rock found on Earth.

Dimethylglyoxime is the main ingredient used which detects Nickel in a Meteorite.
Dimethylglyoxime is provided in the kit, it it mixed with Muratic Acid found at any
hardware store, along with some distilled water it becomes solution "A".
Common clear household ammonia becomes solution "B".

Testing procedure:

Step 1. Place approx: a pea sized sample of the material to be tested in glass vial.
Note: Test works best if sample is broken into small pieces.

Step 2. Add 8 drops of solution "A" to glass vial holding the material to be tested from step 1..
Tighten cap and swirl vial for 1 min. Let stand for 1 min.

Step 3. Add 10 drops of solution "B" to glass vial containing sample from step 1.
Swirl vial for 30 sec. , let stand.

Solution will turn a BRIGHT STRAWBERRY RED if test is positive.
